Service-driven leadership for balanced growth and community empowerment.

I am Daniel Robert and am elated to be running to serve as a Councilmember! I realize that we haven't lived here as long as other candidates, so I'm taking this opportunity to tell you more!

I attended college at Auburn University and majored in Political Science. 9/11 happened during the Fall of my Junior Year and I graduated in the Spring of 2003. After coming home, I enlisted in the United States Army. I spent the great majority of that time serving in Special Operations, deploying five times in service to our Nation. In between and even during rotations overseas, I went back to graduate school, earning my Master of Business Administration Degree in 2015. I retired from the Army in the Fall of 2019.

My family and I moved here in the summer of 2021. As soon as we drove into the peninsula, we could feel that this was home. This is a vibrant community where anyone can thrive. My wife Natalie and I, along with all of our children have experienced all this community has to offer and it started the day we moved into our home.

In thinking about all of that, I'd like to share a quote with you as I believe it truly encompasses how I think about this campaign and what I will do if elected:

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.
